"for keeping you sane".. yes?

I know if I ever managed to convert my sense of the ridiculous into something longer, that would be really really really true.

It's practically done! Just got to sort the bibliography tomorrow and then it should be ready to post. (It was the upside to being somewhere without internet access for a couple of days - no distractions from those final boring but essential tasks.)

Worrying about pictures is (thankfully) quite a way off. And this is only a working title at this stage - plenty of time to come up with something vaguely interesting. But maybe I will recruit your help later... (I'm wondering how the editors will take to the idea of including 'my weblog readers' in the acknowledgments? heh.)

post the topic and the blurb and we will make suggestions.

Proper ones.

Email it to me if you like.

Please please don't have a dull title. Have a dull subtitle instead. I am big on them.

We could decide a title for you. We could early modernise the title of a crime film and see if you can get it past your publisher.
