LibraryThing

Another potentially useful resource in the struggle to achieve some organisation around here: LibraryThing enables you create your own online catalogue of your books using Library of Congress data, with tags (like del.icio.us, Technorati etc), browse other people’s catalogues, etc. You can have up to 200 entries in a free user account or pay $10 for unlimited numbers. (And you don’t need an account at all to browse catalogues.)

Update: I have started my library. It’s just so easy to use. (The only issue, from my point of view, is that it tends to give US publication details, whereas most of the books on my shelves are British editions.)
