I wish Language Log had comments. But What. An. Eejit. Personally, I think that turning perfectly good nouns like “reference” into verbs (what is wrong, I ask you, with, “refer to”?), and the horrible misconstruction of the conditional (If you would have done it my way …”) are much worse!
